Day 96 of 365 Things to Do in Panama

Day 96 of 365 Things to Do in Panama. Hike up Ancon Hill in Panama City!

Every time you cross over the Bridge of Americas the Panama Flag can be seen proudly flying in the wind over Ancon Hill. It is not especially large at only 654 feet however it can be spotted from all over Panama City. It’s about the only large hill in town.

The slopes are also home to sloths, tamarins, coati and armadillos, and these wondrous animals are a main draw for many joggers and hikers in the area. Along with jungle creatures, the hill offers stunning views over the city and the Bridge of the Americas.

Did you know....Its name is used as an acronym by a Panamanian environmental group, Asociación Nacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza (ANCON)
