The world renowned musical “Evita” by Andrew Lloyd Webber will be presented from Thursday May 25th to Sunday May 28th at the Teatro Anayansi in Atlapa. The musical follows the early life of the former Argentinian first lady, Eva Perón, her rise to power and eventual death.
The story of Eva Peron , one of the most influential Argentine women, comes to Panama with the Broadway musical Evita . This work, with the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the lyrics of Tim Rice, follows the life of the second wife of former president Juan Perón. It premiered in London's West End in 1978 and a year later made its Broadway debut. The musical had a fresh production in 2012 with the participation of Ricky Martin .
Gina Cochez , the Panamanian actress will play Evita.
