Cerro Picacho is a mountain located to the west of Panama in the district of San Carlos with an altitude of 1182 m. The panorama from the summit is the biggest attraction of this trek. Located below is the Laguna Grande, Altos de María, Altos de Campana and on the horizon you can observe Indian Mountain Dormida. You will also see the Pacific Coast from Punta Chame to Playa Blanca and on a clear day the boats that cross Gatun Lake.The hike up and back takes about 2.5 hours.
