Day 207 of Things To Do in Panama. Watch the Movie "The Game"
This Sunday, July 30th "The Game" by Julia Wilson, will be presented at Teatro La Huaca of the ATLAPA Convention Center. It is considered the first film directed and produced by a Panamanian in the United States.
Wilson resided in New York City for more than 40 years and learned about film production, direction and writing for the screen, to the point of working with the renowned filmmaker Spike Lee, film director on the movies like "Do The Right Things" (1989), "Malcolm X" (1992), "25th Hour" (2002), "Inside Man" (2006) or the most recent "Chi-Raq" (2015).
Wilson decided to make her first film. The result of this adventure is "The Game," a political drama that shows what happens when ethics are nonexistent in the ruling class of countries: politicians. The film is projected by El's Juwelnia Films Productions, a company based in Panama that seeks to produce films with human, social, historical, religious, spiritual and family content.
