Day 231 of 365 Things To Do in Panama

Day 231 of 365 Things To Do in Panama. Relax on Red Frog Beach in Bocas del Toro.

Red Frog Beach is one the most popular beaches in the islands of Bocas del Toro because of its location and beauty. Hard to believe it is only .75 miles wide. You can sunbathe on the soft white sand, swim the crystal turquoise water, stroll the coast, surf the waves, or snorkel above the reef. This beach is unique with the lush rainforest just on the fringes of the Caribbean beach. Four of the world's eight sea turtle species nest on Red Frog Beach. Spotting wildlife is almost a given as you explore. Keep an eye out for a three- toed sloth, monkeys or a small red frog for which Red Beach gets its name. Find the hidden boardwalk at the end of the peninsula and take in the breathtaking view from the "the point". When you get tired and thirsty you can pop into a local restaurant grab a drink and a hammock!
