Day 265 of 365 Things to Do in Panama

Day 265 of 365 Things To Do in Panama. Drive The Bajo Mono Loop in Boquete!

The Bajo Mono Loop road in Boquete is a good drive to get your bearings and take in the panoramic views. The asphalt road winds you high above the town through canyons with steep walls , gorgeous forest scenery and coffee plantations. On your ride you will see beautiful gardens, the Rio Caldera, local homes, a waterfall and an abandoned castle tucked into the hillside and much more.

It is easy to find it, simply follow the main road past the church and head left at the fork, passing Café Ruiz and staying left until you see the sign for BAJO MONO.

Don;t forget to try the Volcancito Loop -- to get there, follow the main road out of town and when you see the CEFATI visitor center, turn right and follow the loop until you arrive back at town -

a great place to stop, enjoy a beverage and meet some of the locals.

Biking this loop is great exercise.
