Day 272 of 365 Things To Do in Panama

Day 272 of 365 Things To Do in Panama. Celebrate International Coffee Day!

Starting on Friday, 29 September, and culminating on Sunday, 1 October 2017,

the 77 Member States of the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and dozens of coffee associations from around the globe will come together to celebrate the third annual International Coffee Day which help raise awareness about sustainable fair trade practices and coffee cultivation within the coffee industry.

International Coffee Day is a global celebration of coffee’s journey from the farm to your local shop— an opportunity to honor the men and women who grow and harvest the coffee we love.

Coffee is made from the seeds or berries of the coffee plant. It has been enjoyed by people around the world for many centuries. Historians believe that coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia but was cultivated on a large scale and traded for the first time by the Arabs.
